Arvind Trivedi was an Indian film & television actor and a politician. He was particularly known for playing the role of Ravana in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana television series.
Apart from Ramayan, Arvind has worked in more than 300 Hindi & Gujrati Films. Arvind contributed to religious and social films for 40 years.

Arvind Trivedi was born on 8 November 1938 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. He belonged to a middle-class family.
His father, Jethalal Trivedi, was a mill worker and was paralyzed after the entire family moved to Ujjain. There is no information available regarding Arvind Trivedi’s mother.
He was fond of acting since childhood and started his acting career with theatres. His elder brother, Upendra Trivedi was a Gujarati actor and politician.

He became the chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), where he served for more than a year.
Later in 1991, he joined politics and became Member of Parliament from Sabarkatha constituency. He was a member of Bharatiya Janata Party till 1996.
