Priyanka Tibrewal is a lawyer by profession. The Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to make her the candidate from Bhawanipore seat in the West Bengal by-elections. This is the same seat from where Mamta Banerjee will fight in this by-election.

Many party workers are opposing this decision of Bhartiya Janata Party. The reason behind it is that she had participated in two election and lost both of them.

The public has a special interest in the by-elections to be held on Bhawanipur seat. Because if Mamata Banerjee losses this time, she will have to give up her chief minister’s post.

Priyanka Tibrewal was born in 7July 1981 in Kolkata. She got her primary education from Kolkata itself. After this she got admitted to Delhi University for her bachelor’s degree.

She obtained her law degree in 2007 from Hazra Law College, University of Kolkata. Along with this, she has also done MBA from a university in Thailand.

She is also an advocate of  Supreme Court and Kolkata High Court. Apart from it she had started her political carrier on August 2014. And next year on April 2015,  she participated in Kolkata Municipal Corporation election.

But she lost it against TMC candidate. Later on August 2020, she was  appointed as vice president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (West Bengal). In last assembly election, she has also lost from Entli seat by a difference of 58,257 votes.
